500 buildings in Ille-et-Vilaine

In all, Ille-et-Vilaine has more than 500 churches, chapels and cathedrals.
Maintaining or restoring these churches is part of preserving our heritage.
 
In order to enhance the restoration work and bring the buildings to the attention of as many people as possible, Ille-et-Vilaine Conseil général has introduced a charter called ?Church sightseeing in Ille-et-Vilaine? giving easier access to the buildings, the publication of leaflets and, in the longer term, the introduction of sightseeing trails.
