Increasing awareness of heritage means giving everybody a chance to find out more about the history of Ille-et-Vilaine.
Whether publicly or privately-owned and whether or not they are classified as historic buildings, every year Ille-et-Vilaine Conseil général helps with the restoration of heritage features on buildings, furniture and furnishings in Ille-et-Vilaine.

Churches, castles, paintings, organs, protected sites, wells, statues, items discovered during digs ? almost two hundred new restoration applications are dealt with every year by departments within the Conseil général working with the region's cultural action department (Direction régionale de l'action culturelle, DRAC).
