Ille-et-Vilaine, a place where it is good to live

Specially blessed by Nature, Ille-et-Vilaine is a mosaïc of landscapes where valleys, dunes, cliffs and forests follow on from each other in perfect harmony.

On foot, by bike or by canoe, the gentle waterways can be enjoyed from North to South, by following the Vilaine river or the Ille-et-Rance canal.

Living in Ille-et-Vilaine has also many assets : a dynamic population and economy, great education, employment and cultural opportunity. The County Council of Ille-et-Vilaine has chosen to defend and promote employment in the seven administrative areas, united around Rennes, the attractive regional capital of Brittany.
